Joyeux anniversaire pour les pseudo-masochistes

On Monday I "celebrated" my 23rd birthday.  It was less celebration and more acknowledgment.

Tonight, the ‘rents took me to Café Montrose and I had two glasses of Chimay.  mmmm  Gorging the night before Thanksgiving is perhaps not the best idea, but then, I never really eat much on Thanksgiving anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter.

I just finished baking two loaves of pumpkin bread for tomorrow.  (thanks to both Kelly and epicurious)  I don’t know yet if they taste good, but they sure do smell good and I think they look pretty decent.  I feel good about using real, non-canned pumpkin.  My mum and I purée(d) some last year and froze it.  It seems to have held up well.  It was such a cute pumpkin.

Not really the best picture, but that’s what you get in a dark kitchen lit only by fluorescents. I hope my relatives like them/it.

Oh yeah….. knitting.  My second batch of yarn from handpaintedyarn.com came in yesterday.  I ordered more for the random log cabin plus two skeins for a hat for Lucas (blue and green).  Knitting this blanket is starting to become a bit cumbersome due to its size.  I still love it though.  so soft and squishy!
