Purging

I just had to write about this.  Thanks to the internets, I’ve arranged to send 19 skeins of stash yarn to different people.  I’m trading my stuff for theirs, so I’ll be getting 11 skeins in return.  Still!  That is a net loss of 8 skeins of yarn on my part, thanks to my trading cheap yarn for nice stuff like Noro Cash Iroha.

If anyone’s interested in yarn or a knitting book or Interweave magazine, go here: http://community.livejournal.com/knitswap/304629.html

Here’s what I’ll be receiving:
1. 3 skeins of Noro Cash Iroha in Natural. I’m going to dye it and knit it into a scarf and I plan on trying to sell it in etsy. (that is, if I can’t resist keeping it)
2. 4 skeins of SWTC Optimum in turquoise. Supposedly this is a super soft wool. I also plan on dyeing this yarn, knitting it into a scarf and selling it on etsy.
3. 3 skeins of Lion Brand Cotton Ease in pink. This is going to be made into a super cute little jumper dress for a little baby girl.
4. 1 skein of SWTC Karaoke. This will probably be a scarf. I can’t resist self-striping yarn!

3 Things. 3 Choses. 3 Cosas.

1. OMG it’s a baby hat!  This is the baby hat pattern from One Skein.  I used less than a skein of Rowan Soft Baby in some yellowish greenish color.

2. OMG it’s a toe!  Yarn Pirate — Karma.  Size "really effing small" needles.

3. OMG handpaintedyarn.com updated their stock list!  And they have Amatista and Ambar (Colonia 140)!  This means that I can buy another skein of each color for my blanket!  Which is good news because the purple (Amatista) is not going to last for the current block/"log" I’m working on.  The blanket is currently 27.5" x 35", excluding the block I just started.
